Welcome to the Triad Travel Counts

To help us understand the transportation needs of your community, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is asking local households to take part in Triad Travel Counts.

This important survey will help us understand how our roads, public transportation, bike lanes, and sidewalks are used today, and how they can be improved to make travel better in the future.

The NCDOT is sponsoring this survey with cooperation from regional planning departments including the Burlington/Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization (BGMPO), the Greensboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (GUAMPO), the High Point Metropolitan Planning Organization (HPMPO), the Winston-Salem Metropolitan Planning Organization (WSMPO), and the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART). The survey is a part of a program conducted semi-regularly for this region.

Your Participation Matters

YOUR experiences and travel habits can help shape future of the region's transportation system.

It's true! To plan for transportation improvements, it's important to understand how residents like you move through the Triad region and the key transportation challenges they face.

This is why we need your input to help us spend our transportation dollars wisely.

You can make a difference.

Information about your daily travel habits will help build a complete picture of local and region-wide transportation needs, so decision makers can effectively recommend where to make improvements. Accurate information about how and when people get from place to place in our region will help ensure that transportation funds are spent where they are needed most.

You are important.

By taking part, you will represent your neighbors as well as other people who face similar challenges with their daily travel around the region. Without your participation, households like yours could go underrepresented in future transportation planning efforts.
